But at any rate, I've been compiling a lot of this advice in one place for easier correspondences, and recently a few people insisted that I share it online. So if you are interested in that kind of stuff, here's the link to an essay I wrote:
Advice for building a career as a freelance artist
and/or paid cartoonist
--I'm sure a lot of the details are up for debate and I plan to add and change things over time. Hope you find some of it useful.
Cheers!

It's nice to see that I'm doing the right stuff!
I should just... you know... start drawing other things apart from pretty boys XD. I'll end up only getting jobs on drawing "hot bishies" for my local anime/manga magazines...
There's only one thing that I read in your article/tutorialtobeingsuccesful/queenoftheworld, and that's the Art School part. *sigh* I remember a friend once told me "you don't need to go to art school in order to draw comics". No, you don't. But the connections, and being busy drawing instead of comparing the analysis of inmediate constituents in between English and Spanish phrases sure helps.
I uh... I'm sorry I ranted n_n''
It's strange that I was actually on the LCAD website eailier for info on submiting portfolios and for appying to the school.
